Let me tell you what Connecticut is like from an adult perspective who has lived here for 30+ after moving here from Virginia. When I first moved here from Virginia (I still say ya’ll), I hated Connecticut. People weren’t super friendly and no one looks at you in the face. Connecticut For Trump Flag. As the previous person mentioned, we are close to New York City, and from my experience with NYC, people just tolerate each other. No one looks at anyone and each person just goes about their own business. Connecticut is similar so we have gotten some of that spillover from NYC. The other reason I think people aren’t super friendly (at first) is the cold. Colder climates seem to breed more reserved people. We are inside so much of the year that when we finally get out, we don’t have time for idle chatter.

With any state, when you meet someone it may take time for them to warm up to you. Our society today is making this worse as we don’t trust each other anymore. True that in the South people say hey, hold the door open for you, and are more chatty. That doesn’t mean they are genuinely friendly. Connecticut For Trump Flag. That is just how they have been taught to act. Connecticut (and New England in general) is more reserved. Things to do: well Fairfield County is definitely a place with a lot of things to do, good restaurants, etc – but the whole state has so much to offer. It all depends on what you are looking to do. We definitely have beautiful landscapes across the whole state, trees (lots and lots of tree), wildlife, lots of hiking, lakes, Long Island Sound, beautiful beaches, art, theater – and on the other end of the state – we have two of the largest casinos in the country. These casinos offer dining options that match what you will find in Fairfield County, world-class hotels, nightclubs, high speed karting, concerts, theater, and a projected family resort (similar to Great Wolf Lodge). I have met many people from Fairfield County at these casinos. These casinos now attract big name performers like Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, Kiss, WWE Smackdown, and Justin Timberlake to name a few
