You will ALWAYS be this country’s First Lady in my eyes. You truly care about the people. I have had a garden in my yard for decades. Organic from the start in the early 1970’s. My kids have enjoyed the fruits of my labor and so have my neighbors who don’t have gardens or aren’t able to manage them for themselves. Children today really need to be educated on how to sustain themselves, especially with global warming taking it’s toll on our Earth. Keep spreading your knowledge and pray that the childrens’ brains absorb your wisdom.. I used your materials for years in my Early Childhood Education classes for Health, Safety, and Nutrition. Thank you for your advocacy & tireless work to support women, children, and families. . You are an inspiration for all women! I am so proud to have had you as First Lady, and that you continue to do good work for us. Keep on keeping on! Nicole Pierard. I’m sure a lot of those kids exposed to gardening continued it in some form. So useful!!. My Ancestors were sharecroppers, I’ve picked up where they left off…growing anything I can get my hands on a seed!. I’m so old I remember my grandpa’s small victory garden next to our urban apartment. It fed us, relatives and neighbors in need. Sometimes we would see people picking veggies and if it was obvious that it was just enough for them he would just smile. If they grabbed greedily he would bellow.. First lady Michelle Obama you are so classy and elegant and such a great role model for all women and little girls everywhere. In my opinion, the combination of events with more awareness of where our food comes from and why it’s a healthier way to eat, then covid and people off work had many more people making gardens again. They were so common post WW2, when i was a kid. I also think the cooking channel and learning new ways to make healthy meals, makes us want to do better. I love fresh herbs from my garden. My daughter and grandchildren love to pick a bean or some chives, or a tomato right off the vine and pop them in their mouths. Great physical therapy, good way to get our vitamin D, also…thank you for making the children of America so much more aware of how we can eat better by growing our own food.
