So well written – even things that would have seemed dry in another person’s voice, are readable and interesting.. I miss having a literate- much less WELL-read – president so very much. If you like Larson, and haven’t read it already, Devil in the White City, which takes place in Chicago, is fantastic. His WW2 era book about the US ambassador in Germany is also outstanding.. Hidden Valley Road was one of the most painful and beautiful books I read all year. I think it’s a must read as we become more cognizant of how mental health issues effect the entire family..
