Well it’s not like those landlords are going to be able to find new tenants. Especially to pay the rent they were charging the other tenants…….so good luck with that landlords. They had the same moratorium working for them. I’m not un-empathetic. But we need to remember that landlords have mortgages too. Yoga dragonfly they whispered to her you cannot withstand the storm poster. If tenants don’t pay the rent, landlords can’t pay the mortgage. And if the building goes into foreclosure, it affects more people than the tenant that can’t pay rent.

Our public parks were filling up with the tents of the homeless. Before the moratorium on eviction ran out. I pray. Once you are evicted and become homeless, it can be hellish trying to find a home again. Been there, know it all too well. In order to better understand the numbers, consider that 250,000 households in Los Angeles alone are facing eviction proceedings currently. And now in Iowa after the Derecho, our Gov and so-called pres didn’t help us at all. Yoga dragonfly they whispered to her you cannot withstand the storm poster. No money for people or destroyed homes. Just for buildings. How heartless in that?! They lied to us too and said they approved a full amount to help folks. Gotta wonder who they think can fill the place once it’s ready to rent again. Once you’ve been evicted (assuming it goes to court), nobody will rent to you – you’re branded a “problem tenant”. Doesn’t matter why. And now there’s gonna be a glut of people with that on their record. And no jobs, because that’s how they ended up in this position in the first place, and unemployment is still extremely high.
